She offers compassionate and non-judgmental person-centered therapy and believes clients should have autonomy and independence to make their own decisions. Through a trauma-focused lens, she encourages clients to take control of their lives by providing her clients with necessary skills and tools to do so. She provides a safe space for clients to open up and process whatever is causing emotional distress in their lives. As a therapist, she understands clients need to be met at the level they are at with a non-judgmental approach, empathy, and unconditional positive regard.
She has most recently worked with children and adolescents who’ve experienced traumatic events in childhood who are displaying behavioral issues, academic issues, and social dysfunction in school and at home. She helps children learn healthy coping skills and communication skills through non-directive and directive play therapy techniques. She is also in the process of completing EMDR training and can offer EMDR sessions.
