Britni Huntley has a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Dr. Nicole Black, PhD, LPC-S, LCDC, RPT. Britni has been working in the mental health field for seven years. Prior to becoming an LPC Associate she worked at The Ranch at Dove Tree as a Recovery Advocate and group facilitator for adults struggling with substance use issues. She also has experience working with children with various adjustment issues.
She is currently working towards independent licensure as well as continuing her education on play therapy, trauma informed care, and dissociative disorders. Britni is a member of the American Counseling Association and the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation.
Britni is a passionate counselor that enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked with a wide range of clients who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, substance use issues, grief, LGBTQIA-related matters, anxiety, depression, and other severe mental health issues.
She utilizes multiple therapy approaches and techniques to meet clients’ unique needs. She approaches clients by meeting them where they are with genuine acceptance. She encourages clients to develop greater self-awareness and mental health through processing their experiences and learning new ways to approach and process life’s challenges. She provides nonjudgmental support as she addresses a variety of issues with clients and works with them to identify effective ways to achieve their goals. She has completed EMDR basic training and can offer EMDR sessions.
Britni is available for virtual and in-person sessions at our Central Lubbock address, located at 4601 66th St. Suite E. She sees children ages 4+ and adults. GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE WEBSITE NOTICE
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, the “No Surprises Act,” you have a right to receive a “good faith estimate” explaining how much your therapy services will cost. Healthcare providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance or who choose not to use their insurance for therapy services with an estimate of the cost of those services.
· You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total cost of therapy services
· Make sure your therapist gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your appointment. You may also ask your therapy for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an appointment.
· If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate you can dispute the bill.
· Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Phoenix Arise is a Covered Entity and must comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”), the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (“HITECH” or the “HITECH Act”), and Chapters 181 and 182 of the Texas Health & Safety Code. Phoenix Arise may not disclose your PHI electronically without your authorization unless allowed by law. For example, the practice may share your PHI through approved, secure electronic methods for the purpose of treatment, payment for health care services, or health care operations such as case management or care coordination.
Phoenix Arise may not disclose PHI electronically without separate authorization from you or your personal representative for each disclosure unless the disclosure is for treatment, payment, health care operations, an insurance or HMO function, or as otherwise authorized under state or federal law.
