EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy is a unique therapy that allows the brain to heal itself through integrating overwhelming or traumatic experiences. While EMDR is commonly used to treat major trauma, it is also utilized to treat interpersonal or attachment hurts such as rejection, neglect, or verbal abuse. Many individuals experience hurt from family, peers, or intimate relationships. EMDR is appropriate for the treatment of trauma for adults and children and can include treatment of trauma experienced before age 3.
