Typically, we come to counseling because we are having a problem regulating ourselves or we are having difficulty with relationships, often leading to feelings of guilt or shame and the belief that there is something wrong with us. However, it is not “what’s wrong with us”, but “what has happened to us.” With this change in perspective, we can work together to explore what has happened in your life to work through past trauma. Many of our counselors provide talk therapy and trauma therapy (EMDR) services to adults who want to address a variety of concerns. That way, clients can find a focused approach in identifying target symptoms and receive effective and practical coping skills.
