Shelby Padgett - LPC

Shelby Padgett has a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lubbock Christian University. She has been fully licensed as a counselor since February of 2024. She has worked in the mental health field since 2018. She has worked with children, teenagers, and adults. She has experience working with individuals and with groups who struggle with severe mental illnesses that include anxiety disorders, mood disorders, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, and psychosis. 

Shelby utilizes various therapy approaches that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. She is interested about learning more and utilizing other therapy modalities to benefit the clients she works with. 

Shelby is a compassionate therapist dedicated to providing a supportive environment for her clients. She helps individuals explore their emotions and develop effective coping mechanisms and tools. Shelby’s approach is grounded in empathy and unconditional positive regard, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Shelby currently accepts self-pay, and will be able to accept the following insurance providers soon (Aetna, Teamchoice, United, Baylor Scott & White, and Tricare West). She is available for in-person and virtual sessions. She sees clients at our South Lubbock office, which is located at 2507 79th St. STE B. Lubbock, TX 79423. Shelby sees clients ages 18+.
