Lily believes that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change when provided with a supportive and accepting environment. Using a Person-Centered approach, she creates a warm, nonjudgmental space where individuals, couples, and families can explore their experiences, gain deeper self-understanding, and move toward the life they desire.
Lily views her clients as the experts of their own lives. Rather than directing the process, she walks alongside them as a compassionate guide, helping them discover their strengths, navigate challenges, and build more authentic relationships with themselves and others. Her goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, strengthen their connections with loved ones, and create lasting change that aligns with their values and goals.
Before becoming a counselor, Lily spent more than 20 years working as a scientific researcher and corporate leader in both the United States and internationally. These experiences provided her with a deep appreciation for the unique challenges people face across different cultures, life stages, careers, and relationships. Her diverse background allows her to connect with clients from a wide range of experiences and perspectives.
Having grown up in China and lived in Texas for more than 14 years, Lily brings a bicultural perspective to her work and is fluent in Chinese. She values cultural understanding and strives to create a welcoming environment where clients feel seen, heard, and respected.
Lily is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
She earned her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lubbock Christian University. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from West Texas A&M University, a PhD in Food Science and Biotechnology from South China University of Technology, a Master of Science in Pharmacognosy from Ocean University of China, and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Engineering from Hubei University of Chinese Medicine.
