Licensed Clinical Therapist (Lubbock)

Location: Lubbock, TX (in person)

Job Type: Full Time/Part Time (15-40 hours per week)

Salary: $37.5 – $55 per hour

About us

At Phoenix Arise, we offer the best of all worlds: the clinical freedom of private practice, the stability of W-2 employment, and the deep support of a trauma-informed team. Unlike agencies, we keep caseloads manageable and prioritize your well-being as much as our clients’. Unlike many group practices, we invest heavily in your ongoing development—with access to EMDR training, advanced clinical resources, and consultation. And unlike solo contracting, you won’t need to juggle billing, marketing, or admin tasks. We’ve created a space where you can do your best work, stay connected to your passion, and grow alongside a community that values quality care and clinician wellness.

About the Position

Clinicians at Phoenix Arise enjoy a relaxed lifestyle with balanced schedules and zero administrative headaches—no billing, marketing, or chasing paperwork. As a W-2 employee, you’ll have stable income and full benefits without the burden of self-employment taxes. You’ll also gain access to over $8,000 in continuing education materials, EMDR training and equipment, regular consultation, and even a dedicated Zen room to prioritize your personal wellness. And yes—we have a Great Dane therapy dog named Duke who’s always happy to offer support (or a cuddle).

Whether your specialty is play therapy, EMDR, couples work, or something uniquely yours, we offer the freedom, tools, and trauma-informed culture to help you thrive—personally and professionally. Our owner, Dr. Black, loves to learn and teach. Our office offers a fully furnished play therapy room, extensive sand tray collection, art therapy materials, somatic therapy materials, access to EMDR equipment, DBT materials, and more. Oh, we also keep coffee, sodas, and snacks stocked for a little treat in between sessions.

Unlike agency work, where caseloads are overwhelming and support is limited, Phoenix Arise offers manageable schedules, clinical autonomy, and a team that truly invests in your growth. Compared to many group practices, we provide deeper clinical support, advanced training opportunities, and a more personalized, trauma-informed culture. And unlike working on your own as a contractor, you’ll never have to worry about marketing, billing, or unpredictable income—we’ve built a model that gives you the freedom of private practice with the stability and support of a well-run organization. At Phoenix Arise, you get to focus on what you do best: helping clients heal.
